I hope you guys have had a wonderful weekend thus far! I have been loving the warmer weather and that I don’t have to wrap myself in a giant jacket and knit scarf just to walk up the street to CVS. To me warm weather and summer are synonymous with nautical attire – especially stripes.
I decided to break out my favorite white and navy horizontal striped shirt from Theory – a top that looks brand new despite it being four years old. As far as light jackets go, JCrew is where it’s at. I am obsessed with the army green color and gold button details, I find that it goes with so many outfits [similar here]. For footwear I ditched my beloved boots for these perfect black ballet flats from JCrew. They are really comfortable and look great paired with a skinny jean.
I like to keep things simple in the makeup department when it’s warm out; my go-to spring and summer routine involves little to no shadow, black gel or liquid liner, mascara and a bright or neutral lip gloss. Today I went with three all-star products: Marc Jacobs Magic Marc’er Precision Pen, used to draw a thin, winged-out line on my upper lash line; Maybelline The Falsies Mascara; and Urban Decay Ultra Nourishing Gloss in Liar.
